After Spa we had a nice long visit from our grandson again as there is some illness in the family and it was easier (and more fun!) to have our little guy stay with us. We have had a great couple of days, and he and Grampie did some fun things yesterday, including baking cookies. We had some fun last evening as well, pretending and just generally having a good time. He did not get a chance to “feed sheeps” with me the last two evenings as it was so cold we opted to keep him inside with Grampie.

Today while I was at work, John, old eagle-eye, was watching the birds outside when he caught a flutter past the back sliding doors. He got a couple of photos, one of which is really amazing. I suspect he/she was hunting the birds, chipmunks and squirrels that hang out around the bird feeders right behind the house. An owl! During the day! A Barred owl, I believe. Way cool!
