Post hurricane Sandy days; snapshot of today

We are the lucky ones.  The mud in the paddock is epic, but we continue to be worried about family, friends and all the folks in the mid-Atlantic areas who are going to be struggling for quite awhile.  Our mud problems are more than usual, but not un-dealable.  Our piggie girls are leaving tomorrow so we have one more paddock area to use, after it is cleaned out.

I was extremely grateful today for the sunlight that I saw on occasion when I looked out the window at work.  And when I got home and was getting ready to do chores, the sky was light blue with just a few clouds.  Beautiful, and hopefully we can avoid more rain for a few days.  The trees are almost devoid of leaves since the storm, so it’s definitely becoming a winter landscape very quickly.  I guess we are going to have to turn the clocks back soon.  Sigh!
